Based on manga master Toshio Maeda’s graphic novel, the original Urotsukidoji: Legend of the Overfiend took the world by storm when it was released in 1989, cementing itself immediately as a milestone of adult animation and taking its throne as the king grandaddy of all monster tentacle rape hentai movies. It also made itself the target of several censorship groups, has been labeled “obscene”, and is actually banned in several countries around the world. If you’ve never seen this movie then how the HELL can you call yourself a fan of hentai?!?!?! You need to stop reading this immediately, banish yourself in shame and not return until you’ve bought it or rented it and watched it! With smooth and beautiful animation that rivals that of any mainstream anime release, Urotsukidoji brought action and horror together and wrapped it up in the slimy dripping pussy-invading tentacles of crazy monsters who fight (and fuck) to the death in a quest to bring the world to an end! But not only did it crank the action and horror all the way up and rip the knob off, it also had something that many hentai films forget: a good story. Something to hold your interest, get you involved, and make you give a damn.
Urotsukidoji 2: Legend of the Demon Womb and Urotsukidoji 3: Return of the Overfiend followed in 1993. Building on the vision of its predecessor, Legend of the Demon Womb developed the story of the Cho-Jin legend and introduced us to the horrors of the Nazi Death Rape machine while Return of the Overfiend heralded the arrival of the nefarious evil obese Ceasar. Urotsukidoji Vol. 4: Inferno Road followed the year after, actually managing once again to keep us on the edge of our seats while we root for the tentacles. Tentacles! TENTACLES! The last 3 chapters are a slight step down from Legend of the Overfiend overall, but they’re still far better than the vast majority of monster tentacle rape hentai flicks. Buy them. Rent them. Steal them. You must see them!
All 4 episodes of the original Urotsukidoji saga have since been collected in Urotsukidoji Saga Box Set: Hell On Earth. There is another box set available called Urotsukidoji: Perfect Collection, but it only contains the first two episodes and your money is much better spent towards Hell on Earth in my opionion.
Finally, that brings us up to Urotsukidoji: New Saga! There are 3 DVDs in the New Saga series, your best value is to go for the box set. The New Saga is absolutely faithful to the story and spirit of the original series and is an instant classic in the annals of adult hentai anime porn movies! In fact, its really sort of an updated remake of the original… there are many of the old characters as well as some new ones, and the overall story arc is the same but there a few new twists. If you’re familiar with the original series, one of the first things you will notice is the slightly updated character designs for Amano Jaku and Koroko. All of the characters are drawn in the more modern anime style that I find sexier than the style of the original episodes. In fact, things are stylistically a little different all around, giving the series a fresh breath of life. The animation is still top-notch and smooth as ever with a very high frame rate, vibrant colors, and awesome special effects. The sex scenes are incredible, whether capturing the bloody brutality of the multi-tentacled monsters or the steamy sexuality of a student as she sucks off her doctor, they are rendered in full uncensored glory with realistic genitals and plenty of juice. You can practically feel the earth shudder as these super-powered rivals battle each other over who gets to fuck the women and who gets to decide the fate of the earth!
