Synopsis:
There is an ancient legend that says if a tattoo is drawn to perfection, it will come to life. Reiko Kure is a female detective with a strange massacre on her hands. Some kind of huge demon savagely murdered thirteen members of the mafia, and only the quiet Ema Nozomi was left at the scene. Ema is taken into protective custody. However, every man left with her is killed, and every woman left with her is raped. There are no clues, except the innocent Ema’s strange tattoo, perfectly depicting a demon. Reiko is drawn into this strange case, taking Ema under her protection and into her heart.
Review:
As dark and gritty and horrific as hentai anime can get, Oni Tensei is absolutely not for the overly sensitive or weak stomached! This film is based on a very disturbing premise, and believe me, it only gets worse from there. But those who like their hentai hardcore with a capital HARDCORE will find this to be a classic demonic possession story uniquely interpreted like only Japanese anime protoculture can. I never reveal the plot in my reviews because I think that can ruin the movie for people who haven’t seen it yet, and a movie is so much more than a series of events, but I will say that the story is full of twists and surprises and will keep you completely enthralled.
Unrelenting in its bleak colors and droning soundtrack as well as in its subject matter, Oni Tensei is an extremely macabre and blood-drenched horror film… not to mention an uncensored XXX hentai monster rape romp! This is the part of the review where most critics would go on and on about how offensive the brutal rape scenes are and how the movie would be better without them… but this is Hentai Reviewer! Reviewing a movie like this and docking points because of the subject matter is like reviewing a heavy metal album and dinging it for rocking too hard. I personally understand that A) these movies do not condone rape, and B) movies are make believe, and so I can say that these are top notch rape scenes, even despite their complete and utter lack of tentacles! The animation during these sequences is very smooth, and there is lots of variety in shots and camera angles, rather than all those hentai movies that are content to just loop a few frames for what seems like ages. In fact, the overall quality of animation throughout the movie is excellent and on par with your average mainstream anime release.
Oni Tensei: The Demon Collection combines all four episodes from the series for the first time on one DVD and its much cheaper and easier to find than tracking them all down separately. Now, I’m not a snob when it comes to dubs vs subs. I will watch either, I don’t have much of a preference unless either the dub or the sub sucks. But in this case, unless you’re violently opposed to subs, I strongly suggest you avoid the dub. It really isn’t done well at all, the voices are cheesy, they don’t fit the mood and the movie loses a lot of impact. The DVD has both the dubbed version and subbed version and I’ve watched them both. This review is based on the subbed version, if you watch the dubbed version you should knock off a point or two from my overall rating, depending on how deaf you are.
