WARNING: if you purchase the US Anime 18 release DVD, it only includes episodes 1 and 2! The DVD will end and leave you hanging because there is a 3rd episode but its not released in the US yet. The Anime 18 DVD packaging does not mention this at all, I had to find out the hard way. That’s why I’m lettin you know. Also because this means technically I am not reviewing Angel Blade in its entirety, I am only reviewing episodes 1 and 2 (until the 3rd is released, then I’ll review that one). Whew, now that we have that out of the way…
Angel Blade was directed by Masami Obari, who also directed more mainstream movies like Bastard!!, Battle Arena Toshinden, Bubblegum Crisis, Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture, Macross II, and Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer. Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer is one of my absolute all-time favorites, and it has a few things in common with Angel Blade… for instance both are in the fighting/fan-service genre and both are bursting with ultra-jiggly titties shaking like giant jello-cups of love! But of course Angel Blade hits the ball all the way out of the fan-service ballpark and into the hardcore parking lot.
The video is very nice quality, it has a high frame rate and very vivid colors. Angel Blade seems to have a bigger budget than most hentai movies out there, and for both the action scenes and the “action” scenes, it pays off. Whether the voluptous winged demoness Nailkaizer is delivering a flying kick to someone’s face or ramming one of her three (count them, THREE!) humongous cocks up somone’s oriface, the scene is smoothly animated with skilled detail and masterful execution.
That’s right, three cocks. And they conveniently sprout from her vagina, tucking back away neatly when they’re not needed. Yes, the character design in this show is awesomely creative. From Angel Blade and her ultra-sexy slightly-mecha super-suit to the freakishly endowed hermaphrodite Nailkaizer and her motley crew of monster henchmen (who are all conveniently different colors, so you can tell who’s throbbing boner belongs to who during those group orgies), the designs are interesting and clever. The womens’ faces are beautiful, their rosy cheeks, shimmering eyes, and pouty mouths are very expressive and sexy as hell.
So what’s a girl with powerful magical pussy like Angel Blade to do but kick nasty monster asses twentyfourseven? Thus triple-dick-girl Nailkaizer has been sent as a hench-man/woman by her evil overlord Dark Mother to put an end to Angel Blade’s troublesome meddling in their awful affairs. They believe they have tracked down Angel Blade’s location to be somewhere near a school, and investigate. Working with The Dean of the school, who also happens to be an evil henchman for Dark Mother, the forces of evil set out to discover the masked Angel Blade’s true identity, to crush her once and for all, and to brutally monster rape as many innocent anime babes as possible along the way!
But hey, I’m not here to spoil the story for ya, I’m here to convince you that you need to see this movie if you haven’t already! And if you’ve already seen it, then you already know how much ass it kicks.
The sex is extremely hardcore and graphic, depicting rape, golden showers, sexual torture, bondage, and more.
